The W drive is a network drive that enables each user to store files in a folder. There
is currently no disk space quota, but please try not to keep a lot of
data in your folder. Each user can only access his/her own folder. Below
are instructions on how you can give other users access to your folder.
Double Click My Computer
Double click on the W: drive
Single click on your folder then click "File", "Properties"
Click on the Security tab
Click on Permissions
You should see something like this but instead of student you should see your username
Now to give someone access to your folder click "add?"
Click "Show Users"
Then scroll down and select the user you want to add and click "Add"
In Type of access select the type off access you would like to grant Then click "OK"
If you check the "Replace Permissions on Subdirectories" then all the subfolders and files in them will also have there security changed. But if you do not check it then only this folder and the files in it will be changed
When you are finished adding and removing users then click "OK" twice.
