Geography Internships

An internship should provide you with an opportunity to:

Regular Internship (GEOG 495)

Geography 495 provides students the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to the real world, while earning academic credits. Throughout this experience, students gain resume-building experience and professional recommendations. And, like many internships, the internship might even lead to a job after graduation.

Read the internship application instructions.

Teaching Internship (GEOG 495B)

Note that details of a teaching internship should be worked out directly with the faculty member with whom you are working. That faculty member will also assign you your grade. Students working on teaching internships should sign up for Geography 495B.

Other Internship Opportunities

The Department of Geography as well as other organizations offer a wide array of internships to undergraduate students. Read about geography internship opportunities.
