3 Geography undergraduate students win academic achievement awards

Chelsea Gilliam, Greg Milbourne, and Everleigh Stokes, all geography bachelor of science degree students, have won academic achievement awards.


Chelsea Gilliam won the 2012 Evan Pugh Scholar Award (Junior).  The Evan Pugh scholars are thos juniors and seniors who are in the upper 0.5 percent of their respective classes and have completed at least 48 graded Penn State credits at the end of the fall semester of the academic year the award is given.


Greg Milbourne and Everleigh Stokes won the President's Freshman Award.  The President's Freshman award is presented annually to undegreduate degree candidates and provisional students who have earned a 4.00 (A) cumulative grade point average based on the last 12 graded Penn State credits completed by the end of the fall semester of the academic year the award is given.
