Hannah Ingram
May 15, 2006
Hannah Ingram recently joined the Department of Geography as a Research Support Technician in the Cooperative Wetlands Center. Her primary responsibilities will be to assist in the implementation of wetland monitoring and assessment programs in Pennsylvania and other Mid-Atlantic states.
Hannah is looking forward to learning new things and using the skills that she has developed in past school and work experiences. "I hope to learn more about wetland ecosystems and conservation of these valuable resources," she says. She is also excited to work on a variety of projects with the staff of the Cooperative Wetlands Center.
Hannah earned a B.S. in Biology (Ecology option) from Penn State in May of 2003. While a student, she interned with Pennsylvania's Department of Environmental Protection in the West Nile Virus Surveillance Program. In addition, she was a part of a Fire Education Corps team in Idaho through the Student Conservation Association. After graduating from Penn State, she worked as a GIS technician with the Lycoming County Planning Commission for a year and a half. Most recently, she has been assisting a Ph.D. candidate at Penn State with various aspects of research related to crayfish of Pennsylvania.
In her spare time, Hannah enjoys spending time outdoors, reading, traveling, cooking, quilting, and spending time with her family.
Please welcome Hannah to the Department of Geography!
