Doctoral student Melissa Rock blogging in China

Melissa Rock, a doctoral student in the Department of Geography studying in China, began the "China Rocks" blog on the Centre Daily Times' Web site as she studies in the country on a Fulbright Scholarship.

Rock is a dual-doctoral student in Geography and Women's Studies at Penn State. She arrived in Beijing around the start of the Olympics and is now Harbin, in northern China, for an intensive Mandarin-language program. She'll return to Beijing in January and will be there through November 2009.
