Spend a Summer Day (SASD)

Monday, July 16, 2012 - 12:30pm to Friday, July 27, 2012 - 12:30pm
Deike Building and Walker Building, University Park Campus

Spend a Summer Day (SASD) is a campus open house for prospective first year students to learn about admissions, academics, and student life at Penn State.  This year's SASD takes place on the next 2 Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays this month:

Week One: July 16, 19, 20

Week Two: July 23, 26, 27

Daily Schedule

12:25-1:10   22 Deike Building, The College of Earth and Mineral Sciences  info session

1:30-2:15  Walker Building, Department of Geography facilities tour

We're looking for enthusiastic student representatives to help with either (or both) parts.

For the info session, the College needs 1 student rep each day (can be same person, or not) to give a 5-minute talk promoting EMS, from 12:30-12:35.

For the departmental tours, we'd like a couple volunteers available to help show prospective students/families around, etc.—but we won't know for sure how many (if any) visitors we may have on a given day.

If you'd like to volunteer on any of the SASD dates, please indicate your availability via Doodle poll at

Thanks for considering this opportunity if you're in town, and hope you're having a great summer, wherever you are!
