Share
Time:
Thursday, March 22, 2018 - 10:00am to 3:00pm
Place:
Deike Building and Walker Building, Penn State University Park campus

Supporting Women in Geography (SWIG) works to support women’s participation and success in the discipline of geography, and we want to extend participation to young women in the community. Middle school students are invited to attend this event which is geared towards communicating science to a young audience through STEM learning activities like OpenStreetMap, island biogeography, bioaccumulation, and world ethnic activities, for example. This event is a wonderful learning opportunity that integrates geography-related concepts through interactive means.
