You are cordially invited to attend the Penn State GIS Day 2016 events co-sponsored by the University Libraries and the Department of Geography on Monday, Nov. 14, Tuesday, Nov. 15, and Thurs. Nov. 17.

Monday, November 14:
  • Poster display  Pattee Library, Franklin Atrium
  • 1:00–3:00 p.m.  Information fair: Leisure Reading Room, Pattee Library
  • 3:15–5:00  Career panel: Foster Auditorium, Paterno Library (remote participation via MediaSite Live)
  • 5:00–6:30  Networking Reception:, Mann Assembly Room, Paterno Library

Tuesday, November 15:
  • Poster display - Pattee Library, Franklin Atrium
  • 10:00–11:00 a.m.   Keynote talks: Blue Raster, "Protecting the World's Forests with Global Forest Watch Fires" and Digital Globe's GeoHIVE (Human Imagery Verification Effort) - Foster Auditorium, Paterno Library (remote participation via MediaSite Live)
  • 11:15 a.m.–noon  Lightning talks: Foster Auditorium, Paterno Library (remote participation via MediaSite Live)
  • 1:30–3:30 p.m.  Lightning talks: Foster Auditorium, Paterno Library (remote participation via MediaSite Live)

Thursday, November 17:
  • 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.   Prize-Mapping/GPS Scavenger Hunt - starts from the Maps Library classroom, W13 Pattee Library
  • 4:30–5:30 p.m. Mapping Applications: PolicyMap, SimplyMap, and Social Explorer - 211A Pattee Library (remote participation via Adobe Connect)

Many of these events will be available via MediaSite Live or Adobe Connect for remote participation.
