Description
Supporting Young Women in Geography (SYWIG) is a day where we bring in middle school girls to participate in a variety of activities that reflect the importance, interest, and excitement associated with Geography and communicating science to a young audience through STEM learning activities like OpenStreetMap, island biogeography, bioaccumulation, and world ethnic activities, for example. This event is a wonderful learning opportunity that integrates geography-related concepts through interactive means.
