Project and position description

The goal of this project is to generate literature reviews based on annotated bibliography that is created collaboratively by the graduate student supervisor and undergraduate intern, on one or more of the following topics (based on the intern's interests and number of credits): 1. Geographic Information Retrieval, Geoparsing and geolocation of textual documents 2. Textual document annotation using visual tools/software 3. Exploratory GeoVisual Analytics over textual documents 4. Geographic Scientometrics The supervisor will train the intern on the topic and provide initial guidance and list of literature. Deliverables include annotated bibliography in one or more of the above areas.

Desired qualifications

The student should have successfully completed at least one of the following courses: GEOG 361, 362, 363, or 485. This project will require 45-135 hours of work over the course of the semester, and the successful applicant will earn 1-3 credits for the fall term.
