Introduction

Research interests: I am interested in the ways that climate variation influences tree growth in at historical time scales.  By pursing this research I hope to understand  the different ways that individual trees and their communities have responded to climatic variability and thus may respond to future climate change.  A more nuanced understanding of the way that individuals and species respond to climate based on substrate type will help with predictions of vegetation ranges.
