Introduction
My research examines field-based education as an embodied and placed experience and as a moment in the circulation of knowledge. This work uses "the field" as a social, spatial and discursive site to bring together scholarship from feminist science studies and the sociology of scientific knowledge, feminist theories of the body and embodied experience, place and space, and experiential education. My dissertation title is "Learning in place(s): embodying and situating knowledge through field-based education."
