Eun-Kyeong Kim

I am interested in complexity theory, spatiotemporal data mining, geovisual analytics, and spatial dynamics. My Ph.D. dissertation focuses on geovisual analytics that supports applying complexity science perspectives to analyzing geographic phenomena across human and environmental subjects.  I am currently working on research on 1) temporal scaling relations in geographic phenomena including wildfires and human movement behaviors, 2) pattern detection of spatiotemporal events, and 3) intuitive visualization methods for temporal patterns of geographic events.
