Gary Rowe of the Student Conservation Associaion (SCA) came to talk

Conservation efforts of all kinds, for all disciplines

LOTS of Internships (a fair amount of full-time positions, also)

• 12 weeks to 12 months, flexible start & end
• all disciplines - archeology, geography, GIS, trail maintenance, museum interpretation…
• expense-paid, but not really profitable:
• travel grants to and from job
• housing provided
• training and CPR/Medical courses
• loan deferment
• AmeriCorps Education Awards (up to ~$4000)
• ~$60/week for food, increases with longer internships

Application is all electronic, access via the website

• get application in AT LEAST 3 weeks prior to start date

Also have lots of crew leader positions (full-time) and full-time staff positions
