Position description
Research assistant needed to produce 4 to 5 reference maps of research field site in Centre County, Pennsylvania. Candidates should feel comfortable using GIS software to create easily understood maps, including selecting map projections and locating digital data sources from existing databases, with minimal guidance and supervision.

Desired Qualifications
Successful completion of Geography 361: Cartography – Maps and Map Construction prior to Fall 2014. Candidates must be willing to contribute 40 total hours of work toward the project over the semester, resulting in 1 credit hour applied to the transcript. There is no monetary stipend attached to this assistantship, although the experiences gained in this work will be immediately valuable when applying for graduate school or full-time employment.
