I am a map nerd who is currently on my way pursuing my PhD in Geography at Penn State. Before coming to State College, I worked at the Gibbs Land Use and Environment Lab researching agricultural changes and energy impacts, mined open land use data, created geo-graphics, and continue to be inspired by all the amazing humans I worked with. Earlier, I completed my Bachelor's degree in Natural Resource Management at South China Normal Uiversity (Guangzhou) and held a Master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning with a certificate in GIS at University of Wisconsin Madison. My plan is to study and cognize the migraton and social communication patterns of displaced population from spatial and temporal perspectives, which, will involve research topics/ interests such as social flow, network science, data mining, human movement under conflicts, urban planning, and their geovisualization.
