My name is Gillian Prater-Lee and I am a first year MS to PhD student. I received my BA from Case Western Reserve University majoring in Political Science and minoring in Mathematics and Social Justice. I also hold a certificate in Labor Studies from the CUNY School of Labor and Urban Studies.
My research interests are in human geography, and more specifically urban geography, residential segregation, voting rights and districting, and racial inequalities. I have a broad background in community organizing and activism around issues of gentrification, homelessness, and affordable housing which I hope to build on in my research here at Penn State.
