I am a human-environment geographer, and my research focuses on the intersection between land use dynamics, human-wildlife interaction and livelihoods. Using a mix of geospatial and qualitative research methods, I am investigating relationships between changes in landscape composition, elephant connectivity between different protected areas and occurrences of human-elephant conflicts. My work engages social-ecological systems, livelihoods, land change science, spatial ecology and landscape sustainability literature.
I examine these overlapping issues using Tanzania in East Africa as my case study.
