Maria Mehrin
I am a PhD student and I am interested in exploring the political economy of climate finance, with a particular focus on how Bangladesh secures funding from developed countries and implements it at the local level. I aim to seek to critically analyze the power dynamics, global governance frameworks, and decision-making processes associated with climate finance. My goal is to contribute to policy reforms that promote transparency, equity, and accountability in resource distribution. It would ensure that financial flows meet the needs of vulnerable communities while addressing global climate challenges.
Prior to arriving at Penn State, I received a master's and bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology.
