Zhuolai Pan is a M.S. student in the Department of Geography at Penn State under the guidance of Dr. Luke Trusel. He earned a B.S. in Earth Sciences (with minors in Geographic Information Science, and Energy Business Finance) from Penn State in 2020, during which he served as an undergraduate CryoLab researcher. His undergraduate research focused supraglacial lake drainages on Amery Ice shelf. Zhuolai’s graduate research will continue on in this theme and focuses on dynamics of supraglacial lakes in Antarctica, and the climatic and glaciological factors governing their variability.
