Kiely Hine
Kiely Hine is a M.S/Ph.D student in the Department of Geography at Penn State University, advised by Dr. Helen Greatrex. Her work focuses broadly on hydrology, spatial analysis, and climate variability, with an emphasis on understanding how streamflow patterns change across space and time. She currently serves as a teaching assistant for GEOG 260, Introduction to GIScience.
Kiely earned dual bachelor’s degrees in Geoscience and History from the University of Connecticut. Her undergraduate work combined historical and environmental research, including studies of mill dam impacts on river systems and social vulnerability to floods in early 20th-century China. These experiences continue to shape her interdisciplinary perspective on environmental change and water systems.
