Sophie Lelei (she/her) is a dual-title graduate student in the M.S. + Ph.D. Geography and African Studies program. She earned her B.S. in Statistical Modeling Data Science from Penn State.
Sophie is interested in studying health geography in Africa. She is interested in topics relating to water, sanitation, and hygiene, along with spatial modeling. Sophie is also interested in using community-based participatory research methods to develop sustainable projects that will benefit the communities she works with.
