Ruixiang Liu
I am Ruixiang Liu, a Ph.D. student in the Department of Geography at The Pennsylvania State University. Before joining Penn State, I hold an M.Sc. in Cartography and Geographic Information System and a B.Eng. in Remote Sensing Science and Technology, both from Wuhan University. My research interests focus on high-performance geocomputing, GIScience, and GeoAI.
I have strong expertise in WebGIS development and geocomputing. My work integrates parallel and distributed computing techniques to accelerate large-scale spatial analysis. I have been actively involved in the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) community. I am proficient in implementing and extending OGC-compliant geospatial standards and services, ensuring interoperability and reproducibility in data-intensive environments.
I am now exploring how advanced geospatial big data approaches can be applied to analyze and model patterns of human mobility at multiple scales.
