Will Smith

Will is an academic and long-term labor and tenant organizer. He founded Colorado Springs' first citywide tenant union, Colorado Springs Tenants in 2025. He is interested in research for social change: conducting and designing housing research in collaboration with tenant unions to create useful knowledge in building tenants as a powerful economic and political class. Methodologically, Will is interested in a critical ethnographic approach.  

As an undergraduate, he studied labor movements and wrote his undergraduate thesis on the working conditions experienced by restaurant workers in Colorado Springs. He graduated with his B.A. In Sociology from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs after procuring an A.A. In Sociology from Pikes Peak Community College.
